Its orange colouring is instantly recognisable – but the taste is its most unique feature. There are many different variations but at Chutney Mary they add chicken, fenugreek and cardamon.
3. Thai – Thai Stir-Fried Beef
Thai food is delicious. Whether it's creamy and coconut-based or flavourful and fragrant – or a combination of them all – it won't let you down. Thai Stir Fried Beef from My Thai really highlights some of the best parts of the cuisine, with marinated meats, veggies and noodles. The restaurant really pays homage to local produce, using Irish fillet steak strips to work in perfect harmony with Thai chillies and rice wine as well as oyster and soy sauce.
4. Mexican – Burrito
Tacos, nachos, fajitas... all staples of Mexican cuisine. But it's burritos we're going mad for and they are at their best when ordered from Zambrero. 12-inch tortillas packed full of pinto beans, rice, meat and a whole host of extras. Salsa really spices up the whole affair while cheese brings the dish back down to earth. Delicious.
5. Japanese – Salmon Sashimi
The Japanese are known for their incredibly fresh fish and sashimi is the ultimate raw delicacy. Hailan Restaurant uses the highest-grade salmon in their salmon sashimi and the taste is astounding. It's simple – it's just raw, sliced fish – but there's nothing fresher. You're going to love both it and the sensation of worldliness that comes with it!
