Whatever kind of meal you're in the market for in Dundrum, you don't have to travel far to find some fabulous international flavours. Today, we've picked out five of the best Dundrum restaurants, along with our favourite dish from each. Don't leave these restaurants without trying them!
If you think you've tried pretty much every burger combination that's out there, it's unlikely that you've visited The Counter, where burgers are taken to a new level. Customers create their own fantasy burgers, mixing and matching from a choice of more than 85 ingredients on a checklist-style menu.
But, for your first taste at The Counter, if you're finding all the choice too much, why not go for the classic Old School? It's lettuce, tomato, red onions and pickles with tillamook cheddar atop an all-natural beef burger served with The Counter relish on a brioche bun.
Anyone who loves Italian cooking will find their favourite pizza and pasta dishes at Jamie's Italian. There are artisan pizzas with toppings to suit every palate, salads that will leave you as satisfied as any other main course would, and a range of pasta dishes you won't find in many Italian restaurants outside of Italy. For instance, you might be tempted by the truffle tagliatelle, the ravioli mezzaluna, or the oxtail lasagna.
However, if you prefer to order a dish you're more familiar with - like spaghetti bolognese - try one of the most popular dishes on the menu, the tagliatelle bolognese. It's a combination of beef and pork cooked in red wine, served on a bed of tagliatelle with pangrattato and parmesan. Squisito!
With its Asian fusion and Japanese menu, Wagamama has a noodle or rice dish to suit every appetite. If you feel like some spicy comfort food, go for one of the ramen soup noodle dishes, but if you like your noodles served "dry", choose a teppanyaki instead.
Our top Wagamama pick, though, is the katsu curry. With this curry, you get a choice between either chicken or vegetables coated and cooked in crispy breadcrumbs, smothered in an aromatic curry sauce, and served with sticky rice and salad.
For a taste of Japan without leaving Dundrum, Hailan has a huge range of Japanese specialities on its menu. With everything from sushi and sashimi through to tempura, udon and ramen dishes, the choice is immense. If you don't know where to start, pick one of their meal deal options.
There are also a number of Korean dishes, many of which feature kimchi - a traditional Korean staple meal addition made from fermented and salted vegetables. Try the Kimchi Zzi Gea - a kimchi, pork and tofu soup. You can specify the spice level to suit - there's mild, spicy or extra hot.
Zizzi is another great Italian restaurant in Dundrum and, along with its wide selection of pizza and pasta choices, the restaurant also offers a non-gluten and vegan selection of options too.
It's hard to say which would be our favourite pizza on the menu but the Rustica Primavera is highly recommended. With a white and spelt dough base, it comes packed with toppings: goat's cheese, artichokes, spinach, fire-roasted peppers along with pesto, balsamic tomatoes, olives, and rocket, and of course, mozzarella. While you probably don't need anything else to make this a perfect pizza, there's always the possibility of adding extra toppings when you order.
There's no doubt that there's a great selection of places to eat in Dundrum and, even better, many of them can also be delivered straight to your door with Deliveroo.
